About
Hi, I’m Anfisa, a former USA National Team member, certified personal trainer and the founder of Anova Athletics.
My passion for health and fitness started early. I fell in love with movement through rhythmic gymnastics at age 7 and eventually earned a spot on the Senior USA Rhythmic Group National Team. After a hip injury ended my competitive career, I was faced with a big turning point in my life. I learned that that a big part of my healing mind and body came from focusing on what I could do, not what I couldn’t do anymore. By actively working around my limitations, I regained my strength, my health, and my confidence.
That experience shapes the way I coach today. I believe training isn’t only about pushing to the maximum and winning. It’s about training smart and recovering well so the workload is sustainable for the long term.
Training isn’t just for athletes. It’s for anyone who wants to feel better mentally and physically, move freely without pain and build strength that supports your life now and as you age.
I work primarily with adults, from busy professionals to older adults who want to stay active and independent. Many of my clients are looking to improve posture, train safely around injuries, and feel stronger in their daily lives—whether that means carrying groceries with ease, playing with their kids, or keeping up with their grandkids without pain. Whether you’re new to strength training, returning after injury or burnout, or simply want to move with more confidence as you age, I’ll meet you where you are and design a plan that supports your goals and lifestyle.
